smsPULSE for Domino

Introduction
smsPULSE for Domino is a two way sms server. The server is fully integrated into the Domino environments using:

1. Two add-in tasks: one for sms broadcasting in both GSM and HTTPS protocols, the other for inbound sms routing
2. Wide choice of methods for generating text messages, all native to Notes
3. A selection of customizable forms, if required, for both mail and web access
4. Domino console command using the administrator client
5. Tracking of server activities in dedicated smsPULSE log documents
6. Integration of smsPULSE as a global directory, for both sending and receiving text.

How does it work

1. Two databases are used for storing outgoing message data (sms.OUT and sms.BOX)
2. The broadcasting add-in reads data from the above and sends message out using your choice of protocol: HTTPS/GSM
3. Monitor progress of message delivery all the way to the Cell-phone
4. All outbound traffic is stored in a secure journal for control purposes (sms.JOUR)
5. When messages arrive to smsPULSE via the attached GSM device (DM version only) these are stored in a Notes database (sms.IN)
6. The sms router (smsROUTER), the second server add-in, processes the incoming messages and either forwards these inside your organization or updates your application databases (not smsPULSE DBs). This is a complete rule-base workflow sub system.

• Alerts on low credits (email and sms): notifies you on a number of occasions when credit is low (HTTPS protocol only)
• API to enable application integration: for example, write a document to sms.box with a: Subject field with mobile numbers, b: Body field with the text
• InstallShield based installation program: easy to install - up and running in minutes
• Complete Internet-based delivery: all product delivery, updates, sms credit purchases and support are handled from smsPULSE.

1. Runs on Domino 5.06 upwards (using latest API Version 2.3)
2. Requires a permanent Internet connection - HTTPS protocol only. No such connection required for the DM version
3. Requires a GSM device - DM installation only
4. Works directly or through a Proxy server (requires both secure and insecure connections)
