smsPULSE General Information

Dual Protocols
smsPULSE is available with two communication protocols.

• HTTPS (sms credits are bought from us)
• GSM (sms credits are bought from your SIM vendor)

Both protocols are available in all installations.  Depending on your licence, HTTPS only protocol is available in smsPULSE Standard edition while both protocols are available in the smsPULSE DM/MM editions. You may start with the Standard edition and upgrade to DM at any time.

Benefits
This unique feature allows smsPULSE to provide SMS services where other solutions fail.  Consider the situation where your server is not connected to the "Outside world" - only smsPULSE can switch automatically to Island Mode.

When using smsPULSE DM you can manage your own SMS costs and buy your credits from a local SIM provider.

Inbound text services are available using the attached GSM devices.

Complete Domino Integration
smsPULSE works with Domino and Notes natively. All components integrate with the Domino infrastructure.

• smsPULSE, smsROUTER and smsLINES add-ins
• A collection of Notes database is used to control and handle messages
• Complete set of console commands
• All activities are recorded in Log.nsf
• API using all the Notes native methods
• Optionally use specialist mail forms
• Integration with your Domino directories, for both sending and receiving text

Your users wont need to learn a new system. They wont even need to learn how to use a new form on their mail file.  Simple explain the syntax and you are done (syntax: Phone-Number@Your-Domain).

Two-Way SMS
smsPULSE DM provides two-way messaging using the attached GSM device.

• Send SMS using HTTPS or GSM
• Receive SMS using GSM
• Route your inbound messages using smsROUTER
• Build sophisticated Routing-Rules to deliver your messages to individuals or systems
• Handle complete work-flow over SMS.

You may start with one-way SMS and upgrade later.
